Conducted Stories: Improv for Youth on the Spectrum: Aug. 22nd

August 22

Kind Defined  (in partnership with United Way of Yavapai County) is excited to partner with Conducted Stories, a non profit from Phoenix, to bring a day of interaction, communication and fun to youth on the ASD spectrum and their families.

These FREE workshops are a chance for both verbal and non verbal family members to interact with each other and understand each other in a whole new and light hearted way!

Conducted Stories has been working with this population using Improv for many years and has received grants to fine tune their programs to assure a positive experience for the youth and their family. This day is about choice. No one will be forced to participate.

If you are having a hard time figuring out what this experience means for you and your family, the founders, Stacey and Amy, said, “Many families say that the play continues at home, siblings learn that they can pantomime an object and the way it is used and have fun with each other guessing what that is.”

We are holding this event on two separate weekends. It works better if the participants are 10 years or older simply due to cultural references.

Time and location are still being determined.

Please email us if you have a child with Autism that you feel would benefit from this program who is between the ages of 5-9, or if you have younger siblings and would like to discuss and option for having a younger group for siblings.
